A master of the blowout and big sexy hair, Eric Garza prides himself on making every client that sits in his chair feel beautiful. As a stylist at Luxelab Salon in Los Angeles, Eric continues to be amazed by how his work helps to transform the self-esteem of his clients. When he’s not behind the chair, this Hollywood stylist is on set at photo shoots and preparing for his upcoming project as the lead hair stylist of an independent film set to start shooting in LA this September.
How did you get into the profession?
Well I figured it was the most practical way to own your own business. Then I found out I was naturally very good at it and fell in love with changing people’s lives through hair.
Favorite Oribe product?
Soft Lacquer and Volumista.
What do you do on your days off?
I love to ride my motorcycle down the coast line or play golf.
What feels new, and what is tired in hair?
I see lots of color blocking coming back in fashion now, and tired…ombre, ombre, OMBRE!

Your dream client?
Anyone who needs just that little extra TLC to lift their spirits enough to allow them to do something they normally wouldn’t do. And of course, Eva Mendes. HOT!
What movie has the best hair of all time?
Snow White and the Huntsman. It’s amazing! [Check back next week for an interview with the lead hairstylist on the movie!]
Funniest thing a client has said to you?
After I had cut her two little boys’ hair, she took them home and her husband said, “It’s so much easier to love them when they look cute.” I could not stop laughing!
What’s the best advice someone has ever given you?
Believe in yourself and everything else will follow.
